How did you venture into the online gaming space?
I have been playing online games since I was a child. I have previously worked with DotaCinema and Neon Gaming which helped me venture into the online gaming space.
Does playing online games form part of your daily life? Is it a part of your livelihood?
Yes. It forms part of both my daily life and livelihood.
What are your educational qualifications?
MSc From University College London (2014-15 batch).
Since when have you been playing online games?
I have been playing online games since 2008.
What skills are required to succeed in an online gaming tournament?
I believe that one of the most important elements of online gaming is a sense of trust in your teammates. When players trust each other they are able to coordinate better and make the most of their combined skills and abilities helping them succeed in any tournament.
Do you think the government supports professional online gamers at any level?
No. In my opinion, the government has failed to support professional online gamers.
What do you think about addiction and dependency on online gaming?
As the saying goes, excess of anything is bad. Excessive engagement in online games may lead to addiction and dependency. Moderate usage of the online games decreases the potential negative consequences of overuse.
What are your biggest concerns while playing a game online?
Lack of etiquette and respect from the Indian gamers is one of my concerns while playing a game online. It is essential for plates to remember that online gaming is a social activity and that other players must be treated with respect.
If there is one thing about the online gaming industry you can convey to the government, what would it be?
The Government has been seen imposing bans and high taxes on online gaming in various states. Regulation of online games by the government must be encouraged instead of outright ban.
